When there is a problem in server, you can not use backup Keeping a backup in server, consumes disk space Important , Keeping a backup in server, will delay the backup and restore process. Assume you have kept few different backups in public_html, then when we take a backup next time, even these backup files will be processed into your backup file. This will delay the backup taking / storing / and restoring time. Important, We take weekly backup of your complete OS to protect from any un-expected situation like OS crash. If you keep backup files in your server, it will create problem for this weekly backup. ALWAYS DOWNLOAD YOUR BACKUP TO YOUR LOCAL SYSTEM OR OTHER SERVER.
The Backups are categorised into 4 types
  • Full Backup : It contains backup ofHome Backup : It contains backup of Home directory(All website files)
    1. Home directory(All website files) (All files under public_html)
    2. Database (All the database from MySql server)
    3. Mails (All the emails of your domains and Email IDs. It includes multiple EmailIDs and multiple domains
  • MySQL Backup : It contains the backup of All created databases
  • Mail Backups : It contains the backup of created mailboxes and their contents
The same way restores are categorised into 4 types
  • Full Restore : It contains backup ofHome Restore: It contains backup of Home directory(All website files)
    1. Home directory(All website files)
    2. Database
    3. Mails
  • MySQL Restore: It contains the backup of All created databases
  • Mail Restore: It contains the backup of created mailboxes and their con
The interface to the backup wizard looks as below



You can navigate between no of options provided as per the user requirement
The details of what the zip files includes are given on the same page of interface
It provides the following options on the first page

1. Backup or restore
2. Full backup or partial backup
3. Download

>>> First log into your OVIPanel and then go to Files under there click on Backup Wizard

 

>>> Now in here there will be three option which is mentioned above

 

>>> Now the first option is of Backup or restores, in here you need to click on a Backup option

 

 

>>>  Next in Full or Partial Backup you will get 2 different options one is of a full backup and the other partial backup. So if you want the entire backup of your data then you can click on the full backup option and if you want to take backup of a certain file then you can click on partial backup. And in the partial backup, you can take backup of your Home directory, MySQL databases, email forwarders and filters.

>>> After that you will get this message on your screen- The recent backup file has been created with the file: Full_xxxx_month-date-date_100722.zip
